Porto - 1917. Attend painting course in Escola Superior de Belas Artes do Porto, present as final thesis his work Fantoches (Puppets). In 1946 he receives a scholarship from Instituto de Alta Cultura, living in Paris till 1949, by that time he returns to Portugal. During that period he travels throughout France, Belgium, the Netherlands, England and Italy. He has participated in solo and collective exhibitions since 1935, in Portugal and abroad.
