Estremoz - 1930. Attend Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisbon. He has been present in collective exhibitions since 1950, and solo ones since 1954. He is represented in important public and private collections in Portugal and abroad. In 1959, following a suggestion of Maria Keil, he projects the decoration for station Avenida in Lisbon. In 1996, invited by Metropolitano de Lisbon he planned the artistical intervention using ceramic tiles for Santa Lucía metro station in Santiago do Chile. The ceramic tiles used in this station have the traditional colours of Portuguese tiles from the 18th century: White and blue.
