Matsumoto, Japan - 1929. Yayoi Kusama presented her first solo exhibition in Japan 1952. In 1958 she goes to the USA to present an exhibition in Seattle, and she stays in th States, living in New York. The year after, her first exhibition of the "Infinity Net" attracted critical attention. During the 60's and the 70's her work had international exposure. In 1970, New York critical becomes highly hostile, and by the end of the year she returns to Japan. Since 1977 Yayoi lives in psychiatric hospital.
