Erró

Iceland

Born in 1932 in Iceland, Erró studied at the Academy of Art in Reykjavik, at the Academy of Art in Oslo and the Academy of Art in Florence, but settled in Paris in 1958.

He is part of the Pop group of European art, called "Narrative Figuration". This artistic current seeks to observe and absorb contemporary society and manifests itself primarily through the interpretation of the contradictions and dilemmas of that same society.

Erró has held exhibitions at the most important museums of contemporary art and is represented at the Betzalel Museum in Jerusalem, Pompidou in Paris, Museum of Modern Art in Tel-Aviv, Stockholm, Reykjavik, New York, Tokyo, Berne, Berlin, Washington, Munich, Lisbon, Vancouver and Havana.
