Lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. Graduated in Architecture, University of Lisbon, since 2004, moves to London to practice architecture in the following 4 years. In 2009 returns to Lisbon and begins her studies in Ceramics at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual (completed 2012). In 2014 finishes the Individual Project in Visual Arts at Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual and is invited to be Head of the Ceramics Department (until present day).
Ceramic is her elected material namely because of the plastic possibilities that the finished ceramic body offers, with respect to colour, depth, temperature, variation and sound.
In 2014 designs and manufactures her first projects using customized three-dimensional tiles. The Wall Project by MAVC comes from the need of experimenting ideas of colour, texture and pattern using simple geometrical shapes in the tradition of Portuguese monochromatic tiles, when set in the architectural scale.
Between April 2017 and December 2019 is a resident artist at Viúva Lamego. Has award-winning interventions at the Surface Design Awards, UK, in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Participates regularly in collective exhibitions, in Portugal and abroad, and her work has been the target of several publications.
